This website contains information that will:
- help adults interested in working with young children find the teacher preparation program that best meets their education and credential needs;
- give early childhood centers an opportunity to connect with institutions of higher education by serving as a field placement site; and,
- provide teacher preparation students and their institutions of higher education improved access to field placement opportunities.
There are other sites that provide information about colleges and universities. And there are even sites that provide information about specific institutions that offer teacher preparation programs such as PACCA and Degree Finder through NAEYC. ECEhigherEd presents information about institutions of higher education through the specific lens of early childhood education. The locally created ECE IHE Gold Standards prioritize aspects of teacher preparation programs and the institutions that offer them that are important to the ECE field.
